The work unfolds through an intimate relationship between body and territory, where the earth becomes active matter and an agent of transformation. The performative act is constructed from a body fully immersed in the soil, almost indistinguishable from the surrounding landscape, evoking an image of origin and latency.

The earth inscribes itself onto the skin, marking and redefining the limits of the body. What initially appears as immersion transforms into a process of incorporation, in which it is not only the body that emerges, but also the material itself that remains within it.

A slow process of emergence unfolds, in which the body becomes both a force of release and an element held back by the matter that surrounds it.

The work is part of a broader investigation into memory, permanence, and transformation, understanding the territory as an archive and the body as a device for activating that memory.

In this gesture, the human figure becomes a site of inscription and continuity of the territory. The boundaries between body and landscape dissolve, giving way to a relationship of interdependence.
